We have changed many of the aspects of our Victoria County Master Gardener Training Class, but you can read a few older articles to get the idea of what all we do.  Keep in mind that class coordinators change from year to year, so some of the information is outdated in the older articles.

How to become a Victoria County Master Gardener

Steps to becoming a Master Gardener in Victoria County

1. Submit application

2. Pay a $200.00 fee

3. Pass a background check

4. Attend 50 hours of classroom instruction.  You now have two options-in class or online.

5. Complete 50 hours of volunteer time by December 1, to be comprised of:

• 20 VEG hours

• 10 approved project hours

• 8 hours at the extension  office

• The remaining hours may be in any of the above areas.
