We are looking forward to starting this new endeavor with Victoria Parks & Recreation Department. It is a great opportunity for people to come and learn about trees, insects, and other topics concerning nature and gardening.
VCMGA members have hosted thousands of students and adults during our tours at Victoria Educational Gardens. This gives us an opportunity to meet more folks in our city and county and our area. You can look forward to interesting presentations and activities to learn more about "Bringing Nature Home."
This area in Riverside Park offers habitats for birds, insects, and other animals we often find in nature. Providing a tree snag, such as the decomposing parts of the tree, provides insects for the Pileated Woodpecker. A pair has been spotted in the park for years. There are many things you can do to "Bring Nature Home."
