2020 VCMGA Scholarship Project ~
VICTORIA COUNTY MASTER GARDENER ASSOCIATION WILL BE OFFERING A SCHOLARSHIP
to a deserving college student in the near future.
The student must have at least 60 hours of college credit, with a major in horticulture, agriculture, or any other related major.
In order to generate funds for this endeavor, we will be accepting donations in either memory or honor of someone. Donations will be accepted in any amount, and will be tax deductible.

LEIGHTON SMITH, (middle) was presented the FIRST VCMGA Scholarship, by Helen Boatman and Linda Hartman, scholarship co-chairs. Leighton attends Texas A&M Kingsville, majoring in agriculture science with emphasis on agriculture, agribusiness, and environmental science. His career choice is ranch management. His parents are Terry & Jeannie Smith. Congrats!
Kelly Garrett of Cuero received a $2,000.00 scholarship from Victoria County Master Gardeners Association at the July meeting. Kelly was a junior at Texas A&M Univ. at College Station where her major is animal husbandry. Her interest in animals/agriculture began as a 10 year old with the DeWitt County 4-H. She is shown with her mother Karen Garrett and Linda Hartman VCMGA member. VCMGA is a member of the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension with education as one of its goals.
